Mayo Construction has paved several runways in recent years including this project in Garrison. To accommodate the extra width required for the standard runway, we used two pavers in tandem side-by-side for the length of the runway. This technique allowed us to pave a hot joint so each side of the runway was rolled as one to increase durability and leave only one joint in the center of the runway. Minnesota-based Meyer Contracting hired Mayo Construction as the subcontractor responsible for all paving on this job.
